the next day, we set off at 9am and went to this pri school. me and feilou were doing the same thing as we did before, dispensing. and helpful benjamin, as helpful as always gladly helped us to set up the computer booths. thanks ben! what i thought was a slack-behind-the-screen-office-boy-job turned up to be a thankless work. we had to scroll through hundreds of rows to look for a suitable prescription, which usually ended up being non-existent, or unsuitable. and the ironic thing is, the manual method aka scrolling is more effective than the auto aka 'Find' way. so... you can imagine the amount of accommodation and aesthenopia!

our dispensing task for this second trip is different from the first day. instead of looking for the appropriate degree on excel and calling out the reference number for a team of henderson sec students to search, feilou and i did dispensing-dispensing: fitting specs on faces and adjusting them. the whole thing was quite ok actually until feilou nubshittedly told raymond as matter-of-factly that i've got poorer skills and brought me down when i over-adjusted a frame and broke it accidentally. i refused to argue over the fact that whenever i commented on his skills, i never did it openly. and even when i did, it was in a jokingly manner so others wouldn't really notice. feilou, you better work on your sensitivity in relating to other people man... but, i still love him for who he was. that's why i din really bother of tearing his face down when he did that to me. i simply simmered in anger and pretended to walk away.

after a day's of work we finally managed to go back to novotel and slack around. as a matter of fact, we ended early before the projected time as we expected to do 2 times more the amount of people we did the previous day. most probable reason was that many of the pri school children passed the first stage at VA station and hence had no need to proceed wth other stations like refraction and dispensing.

upon going back to the hotel early, and having extra time on our hands, some of us sought out activities to do. the henderson sec horde chiong the miniature swimming pool insid ethe hotel, while dorothy, vincent and arion went for a massage. i had wanted to go too, but there were only 3 massuese available at that time. so i decided to go later, maybe with feilou. so the rest of us, including cecilia, shunbiao, shandy, huiying, maybelline, mr tay etc took our chartered bus and went to Batam Central Square (BCS) to do some shopping. oh my, do we feel rich! muahahahaha! everything there averaged around SGD1 from gatsby wax to cup noodles. energizer batteries C size costs around SGD4!

after that, we took the bus back and rendezvous at novotel where we headed for our sunset dinner. romantic huh! and we had a really fascinating chat at the same table with uncle ringo. oh my gosh, he's a natural stand-up man! pro! kudos!




after that, feilou and i wanted to try out the massage parlour we saw earlier on at the BCS. so we asked if anyone else wanted to come along. the rests however wanted to visit the DC mall, which was en route to the BCS. so we had uncle ringo and mr tay and jacky (the singing guy) and feilou and me to hunt for massage parlour.

uncle ringo brought us to the massage parlour he went before and over there, we had 2 hours str of javanese-bali massage. feilou was separated a curtain away from me and i could hear his moaning and whining when he said the maaseuse stepped all over his back. haha! funny! after that, someone foot the bill for the cab ride back to novotel.
