❝on to macau and an idle ride around ZhuHai!❞
if there were to be any so-called travelling spree in my life thus far, this will be it. within just 7 days, i will be going to 4 different places: macau, ZhuHai, Hongkong, and Batam. to add to the thrillness of it, i was sick since 2 days before i went to Macau. so basically... it's a sickly holiday:)

first up, we have to wake at 3am on a saturday morning to make our way to the budget airport. with compliments to uncle Chengyao, our transportation to the budget terminal was safe and smooth-sailing. it took a little for us to adapt to the difference in the budget terminal. everything there simply looks... budget. well, not that i'm complaining. but it's really a unique experience for my family, since it's the first time we actually went there. we had our really early breakfast there. there was a young mother, slightly less than 30, who sat beside us. we were appalled when she bursted out vulgarities on her 6 yr old daughter for dirtying her clothes, saying that it's the only one they brought. then you wonder, whose fault was it to bring only one set of clothes for their young children?

after waiting not too long a time, we finally boarded the plane at 0535hrs. it took only slightly more than an hour after we boarded the plane for the sky to be lit. the only regret i had on board the plane was that i was sitting on the west wing of the plane, which means i din get to take a picture of the sunrise on the otherside. but one can always be optimistic by saying that at least i din get scorched to death by the morning UV rays!

without wasting anytime, we swiftly moved to the bus stop right outside the terminal after we touched down. with tsome genuity, they somehow managed to find the correct bus that we awere supposed to take, to the custom checkpoint for ZhuHai. the view was panaromic along the way. but due to the poor resolution of my 8 megapixel handphone camera, i've decided no to post it here. you may try your luck at my photobucket when i'm done uploading. will update you guys right here when it's been done.

the pic above in fact is the entrance to the custom for the ZhuHai. and the self-taken shot shows a clock tower which i dun really know what's it. i suppose it's either some commercial building or a hotel. anyways, the clock tower is near the hotel which we will be staying at. and you can't believe how many customs we had to go through before we could actually hit our room. ok. let my rusty brains run the sequence for you. 1st, we had to go throught the singapore one at the budget terminal. 2nd one, we had to do another one at macau once we landed. not that i'm complaining about these 2. but... then we had our 3rd (to leave macau) and 4th (to enter ZhuHai, China) all in a day. talk about tiredness man! then we had to shake off this really persistent chaffeur who offered us 10Rmb each person to bring us around. he was even more motivated when my dad stopped and expressed interest in this 'good deal'! thanks to GraCE, GimTim's wise admin staff, we managed to esacpe from a potential fraud!

and when i finally reached the hotel, called bubugao, aka step step higher, i took some pics. not that i'm a narcissistic freak (well...a bit), but it's quite new for me to wear something like that. i dun really get to wear like this cos singapore's sooo hot! afterwhich, we proceeded to eat at the food street 2 streets away from the hotel. just my dad, mum and i.

after that, we ingeniously used the only useful info i found online and took bus no. 99 for our budget, improvised bus tour along the coastal regions of zhuhai. although we had a very PMS driver, who practically ignored us when we asked him questions, it was only 2.5 rmb per person for an air-conditioned bus service, though i very much doubt the need for a place that's averaging around 18 degrees celcius. anyways, we took the bus route and went to the lover's road and others before we had a brief stop at some county where we had some local street snacks. but it was not before i dropped a stick of tofus on the floor b4 we took the same bus back in the opp direction. i was pretty surprised that my dad behaved ambivalent when i dropped the stick. it was very unlike him to no make a big fuss over sth minute. well, it's a compliment i guess. haha!

❝Clarification❞
For your information, i would like to disclaim the first 3 entries. they are not posted by me, but my helpful neighbour-cum-friend. the only reason why i refuse to delete those posts is because she lives upstairs and i don't want weird stuffs to be thrown down. haha! kidding jack:p ok. once again as i try to post this blog, i will try to see it through. hope it'll be easier now since i'm accountable to jack and her relentless nagging:)
